Basketball Recap: North Side Steers vs. Wyatt Chaparrals
North Side played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 84-56 loss at the hands of the Wyatt Chaparrals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Steers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-61 back in December of 2024.

North Side's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Medhaneye Goitom, who posted 15 points and three steals. Goitom has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Darien Fantroy, who scored seven points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.
North Side has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Wyatt, their win bumped their record up to 4-18.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Paschal the next time they take the court. Wyatt will head out to face Paschal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Side will host them at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th.
