Soccer Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone and Winter Park squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Boone had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Boone's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Boone has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Winter Park, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-2.

Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter Park, they will challenge Timber Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timber Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Winter Park surely won't give up without a fight.
