Basketball Recap: Zi Miller-Brown Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Abbeville

After losing to Abbeville the last time they met, Belton-Honea Path decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 71-63 on Thursday.

Belton-Honea Path's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zi Miller-Brown, who posted 20 points. The Bears are 3-1 when Miller-Brown posts 15 or more points, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Eugene Robinson, who put up 18 points.

Belton-Honea Path now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Abbeville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Belton-Honea Path and Baptist Hill will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for Abbeville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitmire at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
