Baseball Recap: Vanoss Find Success

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Vanoss came out on top. They took their game against the Stratford Bulldogs on Tuesday 9-4. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 12-9 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Vanoss let Hershel Sanders and Caleb Treat run wild. Sanders went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Treat went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave Treat a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Walters, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Vanoss' win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Stratford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Vanoss will head out to challenge Wynnewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stratford, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Community Christian at 10:00 a.m.
