Softball Recap: Analy Takes a Loss

Analy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rancho Cotate, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 7, 2025.

Bella Jurek was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Liliana Bloom, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Analy and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Rancho Cotate, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Analy will head out on the road to take on Maria Carrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pumas have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Rancho Cotate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Novato at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
