It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bruton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 47-41 victory over the Nottoway Cougars. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.
Ashton Bell was a one-man wrecking crew for Bruton as he threw for 180 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of Bell's aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Khalon Murrell, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Bruton will challenge King William on Saturday. King William will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Bruton surely won't give up without a fight. Nottoway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
