Volleyball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater lost against Brawley back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Christine Layaye, who had seven digs and three assists. Those three assists gave her a new career-high.

Sweetwater's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Brawley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Sweetwater will host High Tech Mesa at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brawley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Santana on the 15th.
