Basketball Recap: Del Norte Takes a Loss

Del Norte and Sonoma Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Del Norte had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Sonoma Valley Dragons by a score of 71-69.

Sonoma Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hudson Giarritta, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Giarritta's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Vinny Girish, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Del Norte's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Sonoma Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season.

Del Norte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sonoma Valley, they have already played their next game, a 62-58 defeat against Alhambra on the 25th.
