Basketball Game Preview: Hephzibah Rebels vs. Academy of Richmond County Musketeers

The Hephzibah Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Hephzibah came up short against Laney and fell 50-42. The Rebels have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from ISAIAH RICHARDSON, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMARCUS SALMOND, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Academy of Richmond County suffered their biggest loss since November 12, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 73-42 loss at the hands of Cross Creek. While losing is never fun, the Musketeers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Razorbacks are ranked 19th).

Hephzibah's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Academy of Richmond County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Hephzibah couldn't quite finish off Academy of Richmond County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 52-49. Can Hephzibah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
