Softball Recap: Epping Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Epping didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Hinsdale Pacers by a score of 8-3 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now won three in a row.

Epping's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Hinsdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Epping will welcome Portsmouth Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Hinsdale, they will challenge Newport at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
