Basketball Recap: Premier Prep- Phhoenix's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Premier Prep- PHHoenix put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Heritage Academy Gateway Heroes 63-40. The Fire pushed the score to 52-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Heroes had little chance of recovering from.

Several Heroes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brock Akin, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Akin is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Ethan Wright was another key player, putting up nine points.

Premier Prep- PHHoenix pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Heritage Academy Gateway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Premier Prep- PHHoenix will take on Learning Foundation & Performing Arts in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Heritage Academy Gateway, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-38 loss against East Valley Athletes for Christ on the 16th.
