Softball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

Cheyenne fell victim to Virgin Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 21-0 to the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Desert Shields' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cheyenne has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. The win (which was Virgin Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Coming up, Cheyenne will face off against Pahrump Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Virgin Valley, they will square off against Western at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
