Baseball Recap: Central Christian Comes Up Short

Central Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Santa Rosa Christian.

Beckett Simpson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Central Christian's record now sits at 0-3. As for Santa Rosa Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinitas Christian at 4:30 p.m. on March 17th. As for Santa Rosa Christian, they will square off against West Florida Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
