Basketball Game Preview: De Beque Dragons vs. North Park Wildcats

The De Beque Dragons and the North Park Wildcats will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (De Beque has three straight wins, North Park has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

De Beque is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-18 victory over Vail Mountain. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Park duked it out withHayden on Friday. North Park took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hayden.

De Beque is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for North Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

De Beque strolled past North Park when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 42-25. Will De Beque repeat their success, or does North Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
