Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Morehead came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against North Forsyth, but Jylyia Mizell wouldn't allow it. The North Forsyth Vikings blew past the Morehead Panthers 61-35 on Tuesday thanks in part to Mizell, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine steals. Her evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Odugba, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

North Forsyth's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. As for Morehead, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

North Forsyth will square off against Reidsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Forsyth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Morehead, they will face off against Martinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
