Softball Recap: Dwyer Comes Up Short

Dwyer lost against Jupiter back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dwyer Panthers lost 8-2 to the Jupiter Warriors. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dwyer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Solano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Those RBI were Solano's first of the season. Another was Fatima Masri, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Dwyer's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Jupiter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Dwyer will challenge Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Jupiter, they will square off against Lake Placid at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Jupiter has won four straight at home, while Lake Placid won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
