League recap: Murphy's hot bat leads More

Private School league recap: 3/20/13

Gordon Murphy had the hottest bat in Private School this week, racking up a .600 average with nine RBIs. Meanwhile, More put together a 4-0 week.

The Knights' Joe Tuttle was the best pitcher in the league this week. He picked up one win and 14 strikeouts.

St. Lawrence boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The league boasted 11 .400 hitters over the past week. They were led by Sahil Bhargava, who hit .800 this week (4-for-5).

Murphy's nine RBIs this week were tops in the league. Murphy has 12 RBIs this season, first in the league.



Vinny Camarda was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in four runs during the Celtics' 16-2 win over Alma Heights Christian. He went 2-for-2 and scored two runs.

Tuttle struck out 14 in the Knights' 10-0 win over Trinity Christian on March 16. Over his six innings pitched he allowed zero runs on two hits.
