Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Matt Villa stepped things up a notch to give Casa Grande the 'W'. Villa turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Villa's effort led Casa Grande over Maricopa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are a perfect 8-0 against the Rams going back to February of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
