Basketball Recap: Windward's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Windward posted their closest victory since February 13, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over the Crossroads Roadrunners. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Roadrunners are ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Windward, bringing their record for this year to 17-4. As for Crossroads, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Windward will be playing at home against Brentwood School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads has already played their next game (against Campbell Hall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
