Basketball Recap: Matthew Brandt and Joe Cunningham Secure Win for Faith Baptist

There's no place like home for Faith Baptist, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Skeels Christian Eagles on Friday as the Faith Baptist Eagle made off with a 45-22 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagle had established a 22 point advantage.

Faith Baptist was led to victory by Joe Cunningham and Matthew Brandt. Cunningham posted 11 points, while Brandt had 11 points. That's the most points Brandt has posted since back in December of 2024. Zech Gartrelle was another key player, putting up seven points.

Faith Baptist's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points over those games. As for Skeels Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
