Recap: Show Low Cougars vs. Holbrook Roadrunners
The Show Low Cougars lost against the Holbrook Roadrunners back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Show Low took a 72-54 bruising from Holbrook. Show Low has struggled against Holbrook recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Show Low's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nash Brewer, who scored 16 points. Mason Bigos was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Show Low's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Holbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Show Low will be playing in front of their home fans against Snowflake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Holbrook won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monument Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Monument Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Holbrook is ranked 101st).
