Soccer Recap: Chaparral Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chaparral won the last time they faced Mountain Pointe and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chaparral Firebirds' defense stepped up to hand the Mountain Pointe Pride a 4-0 shutout. The Firebirds' winning goal came courtesy of Tristan Hill.

The win was the third in a row for Chaparral, bringing their record for this year to 5-5-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Mountain Pointe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-1.

Chaparral has already played their next game (against Horizon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain Pointe will face off against Campo Verde at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th. Campo Verde will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mountain Pointe surely won't give up without a fight.
