Baseball Game Preview: Cooper City Cowboys vs. Deerfield Beach Bucks

Cooper City has gone a perfect 4-0 against Deerfield Beach recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cooper City Cowboys will square off against the Deerfield Beach Bucks at 6:30 p.m. Deerfield Beach took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cooper City, who comes in off a win.

Cooper City gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Everglades as Cooper City made off with a 7-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cowboys have posted since April 1, 2024.

Kevin McCormick looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Brain Bovington was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Adrian Graterol, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Deerfield Beach had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 8-4 to Taravella on Tuesday.

Cooper City took their victory against Deerfield Beach in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 8-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cooper City since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
