Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Gilead Indians vs. East Knox Bulldogs

Mt. Gilead hasn't had much luck against East Knox recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Indians will host the Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. Mt. Gilead has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mt. Gilead is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Danville, falling 14-4.

Hayden Somerlot made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, East Knox earned a 10-5 win over Cardington-Lincoln on Monday.

Mt. Gilead's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for East Knox, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Mt. Gilead couldn't quite get it done against East Knox when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
