Basketball Recap: Cruz Takes a Loss

Cruz came up into this matchup off a tough 50-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Waldorf Thunder by a score of 36-33 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now lost three in a row.

Cruz's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Waldorf, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Cruz will square off against Beacon Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waldorf, they will take on Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
