Recap: South Forsyth War Eagles vs. Lambert Longhorns
If The South Forsyth War Eagles were feeling good off their 34-7 takedown of the Forsyth Central Bulldogs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Forsyth took a serious blow against Lambert on Thursday, falling 49-7. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, South Forsyth couldn't push the score so high this time.
South Forsyth's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 North Oconee and 7-3 Harrison (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.7% over those games). As for Lambert, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Forsyth will take on West Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Lambert will be staying on the road on November 3rd to face off against Milton at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Milton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
