Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Deangelo Blessit and Devon Billings Leads Fitzgerald over Lamphere + How To Watch

While Fitzgerald put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Lamphere. The Spartans blew past the Rams 21-0. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Devon Billings, who rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fitzgerald was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Fitzgerald didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deangelo Blessit and Billings. Blessit also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Fitzgerald got some further help from Blake Paymon: he made 17 total tackles.

Fitzgerald's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lamphere, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Fitzgerald wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 61-0 win against Warren Woods-Tower on the 4th. As for Lamphere, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-21 defeat against Marysville on the 3rd.
