Mira Mesa won the last time they faced Ramona and things went their way on Saturday too. The Marauders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Kalilea Popperwill paced Mira Mesa's offense, picking up seven kills. Popperwill got some help from Kanaiya Parham and her seven assists. Parham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ramona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Mira Mesa is on the road again on Saturday to play West Hills at 10:30 a.m. As for Ramona, they will be playing at home against Escondido at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
