Baseball Recap: Baldwin Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Baldwin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Eudora Cardinals on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Baldwin's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Eudora, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Baldwin will challenge Paola at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eudora, they will square off against Jefferson County North on Friday.
