Volleyball Recap: Damonte Ranch Takes a Loss

Damonte Ranch lost against Galena back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Damonte Ranch was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Alyssa Steelman-Belding paced Damonte Ranch's offense, picking up eight kills. Steelman-Belding got some help from Sofia Mladenovic and her ten assists.

Damonte Ranch now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Galena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Damonte Ranch will challenge rival Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Galena is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop Manogue at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
