Volleyball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Elkmont Red Devils. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Hayden Childers paced New Hope's offense, picking up four kills. Childers got some help from Stella Reed and her seven assists. Baby Jay Copeland controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Elkmont, they moved to 9-13 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Hope will square off against Kate Duncan Smith DAR at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkmont, they will take on Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
