Softball Recap: Marlette Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marlette). They put the hurt on the Capac Chiefs with a sharp 16-3 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Raiders needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Marlette's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Capac, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marlette will host Lapeer East at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Capac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
