Soccer Recap: JSerra Catholic Comes Up Short

JSerra Catholic was the 3-2 winner over Santa Monica when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 4-2 to the Vikings on Wednesday. One thing that didn't help JSerra Catholic's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Landon Thrush.

Aquiles Rodriguez and Wilkins Finn scored both of JSerra Catholic's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

JSerra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Santa Monica, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. JSerra Catholic will challenge Downey at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Monica, they will take on Palos Verdes at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Santa Monica's defense better be ready for this one: Palos Verdes have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season.
