Basketball Recap: Weatherford Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Weatherford entered their game against Madill on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Weatherford Eagles fell just short of the Madill Wildcats by a score of 42-40. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Weatherford's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Madill, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

After both having extra time off, Weatherford and Clinton will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Madill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-22 victory against MacArthur on the 21st.
