The Sonora Wildcats will face off against the West Campus Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Sonora is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8  points per game  this season.
Sonora fought the good fight in their overtime  game against Ripon Christian  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of  70-68. The Wildcats' defeat continues a  trend for the  squad, making it three in a row.
 Despite their  loss, Sonora saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Jonathan Curran, who  went 7-for-15  to rack up 17  points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was  Noah Wright, who  went 6-for-14  en route to 16 points along with five  assists and three  steals.
 Meanwhile, West Campus ended up a good deal behind Burbank on Friday and lost  59-45. The  contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for West Campus, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-10.
 Sonora didn't have too much breathing room in their  game against West Campus  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with  a  65-60 win. Will Sonora repeat their success,  or does  West Campus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
