Basketball Recap: Rampart Takes a Loss

Rampart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-5 loss at the hands of the Pine Creek Eagles. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-2.

Brooklyn Stewart continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pine Creek, dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Stewart a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Alli Dreessen, who went 9-for-12 to rack up 18 points and five boards.

Rampart's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pine Creek, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Rampart has already played their next contest, a 63-30 defeat against Pueblo West on the 4th. As for Pine Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-45 victory against Doherty on the 4th.
