Soccer Recap: Doherty Starts Season with Victory Against Mesa Ridge

Doherty had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won four in a row.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doherty will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mesa Ridge, they will take on Vista Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
