It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Alabama Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Elmore County Panthers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since February 28th.

Madolyn Traywick made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched eight innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits. Traywick was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Izzy Warrick was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Peri Lane Holley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Alabama Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-16. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Elmore County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.

Coincidentally, Alabama Christian Academy and Elmore County will both be playing Saint James the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
