Baseball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Tri-Valley Vikings

The MacArthur Generals will square off against the Tri-Valley Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. MacArthur has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.

MacArthur came up short against Rochester on Tuesday, falling 18-3.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Maroa-Forsyth on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Chase Haworth was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Tri-Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-7-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. MacArthur has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
