Football Game Preview: Hart Hawks vs. Castaic Coyotes + How To Watch

Hart has gone a perfect 3-0 against Castaic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hart has four straight victories, Castaic has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Hart is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past West Ranch to the tune of 63-21 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

Hart got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Matix Frithsmith out in front who rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, Frithsmith is now averaging an impressive 104.4 rushing yards per game. Jacob Paisano was another key passer, throwing for 218 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Hart, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Frithsmith, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Castaic played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 35-7 loss at the hands of Golden Valley. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Hart picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Castaic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Hart against Castaic in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-7 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Coyotes' Monty Coleman, who picked up 72 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 79 yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Hawks to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
