Recap: Crespi Celts vs. St. Francis Golden Knights
There's no place like home for the Crespi Celts, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 57-50 win over St. Francis on Friday. Given Crespi's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while St. Francis is ranked 72nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Peyton White, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Crespi's points. Joe Sterling was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Crespi is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for St. Francis, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
