Baseball Recap: South Fork Comes Up Short

South Fork and Pembroke Pines Charter squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South Fork had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

South Fork saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

South Fork now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they pushed their record up to 14-12-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mater Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
