Baseball Recap: Decatur's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

While Decatur's win against Austin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Decatur Red Raiders never let the Austin Black Bears get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Raiders have posted against the Black Bears since March 6, 2020.

Decatur's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Austin, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Decatur will venture away from home to challenge Homewood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Austin, they will challenge Whitesburg Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
