Baseball Recap: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. Woodcreek Timberwolves

Del Oro had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Woodcreek Timberwolves 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jack Tews made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other pitching news, Broc McReynolds looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
