Basketball Recap: Amplus Academy Takes a Loss

Amplus Academy lost against Cheyenne back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Amplus Academy Archers received a blow as they fell 57-43 to the Cheyenne Desert Shields.

Despite the loss, Amplus Academy still got an impressive performance from FALNA AHFEROM, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JHAYDEN BATANGAN, who posted nine points.

Cheyenne found their leader in sophomore Phoenix Dalton, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Dalton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elias Santos-Brown, who scored nine points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Amplus Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Cheyenne, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-16.

Amplus Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-28 defeat against Somerset Academy Losee on the 27th. Cheyenne has also already played their next game, a 71-58 loss against Somerset Sky Pointe on the 27th.
