Basketball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

Mountain Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bear River Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-55 back in January.

Despite the loss, Mountain Crest still got an impressive performance from Noah Cardon, who went 8 for 13 to rack up 18 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Andrus, who posted ten points.

Even though they lost, Mountain Crest was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in five consecutive games.

Mountain Crest's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Bear River, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Mountain Crest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-46 defeat against Sky View on the 5th. As for Bear River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-59 victory against Logan on the 1st.
