Baseball Recap: Norco Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Norco faced off against Arlington on Tuesday. The Norco Cougars walked away with a 6-3 win over the Arlington Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Landon Hovermale looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Marcus Blanton was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Alvarez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Norco kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arlington didn't got any hits.

Norco now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Arlington, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Norco wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against La Mirada on the 1st. As for Arlington, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against St. Augustine on the 1st.
