Volleyball Recap: Glencoe's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glencoe waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Munford Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Glencoe was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11.

Glencoe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gracyn Bunt out in front who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Bunt has posted over her last six contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Barkley, who had 12 assists.

Glencoe's victory bumped their record up to 26-13. As for Munford, they moved to 10-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Glencoe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Pleasant Valley on the 11th. Munford has also already played their next match (against Hokes Bluff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
