Basketball Recap: Duluth East Comes Up Short

Duluth East lost against White Bear Lake back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Duluth East Greyhounds fell 56-46 to the White Bear Lake Bears. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Bears are ranked 109th).

Duluth East dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for White Bear Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duluth East will welcome Denfeld at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Denfeld knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Duluth East likes a good challenge. As for White Bear Lake, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
