Baseball Recap: Evangel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Calhan Bulldogs
While Evangel Christian Academy's victory against Calhan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
Anderson Schultz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Luke Willen and Zachary Blair did most of the damage at the plate: Willen scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Blair scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, Blair posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
